What do we reckon Blogspot? For real? Or just another internet rumour. I've seen many posts like these now. To be honest I'm calling BS on the entire thing. For one, I don't think Mark Zuckerberg would talk in such an unprofessional manner.
Here's the news anyway:
Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will be shut down in March. Managing the site has become too stressful. His words are: “Facebook has gotten out of control,” said Zuckerberg in a press conference outside his Palo Alto office, “and the stress of managing this company has ruined my life. I need to put an end to all the madness.”
This news became so popular in Google Trends.
Zuckerberg will explain that starting March 15th, users will no longer be able to access their Facebook accounts. “After March 15th the whole website shuts down,” said Avrat Humarthi, Vice President of Technical Affairs at Facebook. “So if you ever want to see your pictures again, I recommend you take them off the internet. You won’t be able to get them back once Facebook goes out of business.”
Zuckerberg said that the decision to shut down Facebook was difficult, but that he does not think people will be upset. “I personally don’t think it’s a big deal,” he said in a private phone interview. “And to be honest, I think it’s for the better. Without Facebook, people will have to go outside and make real friends. That’s always a good thing.”
For those who are worried about investments and all that he said that “I don’t care about the money,” “I just want my old life back.”
The Facebook Corporation suggests that users remove all of their personal information from the website before March 15th. After that date, all photos, notes, links, and videos will be permanently erased. "
Rats Out!

To be honest, I didn't believe this for a second. Like you said, Mark Zuckerbeck would speak like that.
ReplyDelete"Without facebook people will go outside and make real friends" I mean, come on.
Nonetheless it's interesting to see what the internet comes up with that's supposedly news.
This is just a troll, but if it shuts down think people will actually start reading books for a chance
ReplyDeleteI personally don't think this is true.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to agree that the quotes don't quite sound like they are for real.
ReplyDeleteBesides, Facebook is too big. It will never die even if we want it to! (I am on the fence about it.)
Keep trollin trollin trollin (What!?)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I call bullshit. There's no way he'd talk in such a casual way about an enormous social network like Facebook, and the shitstorm that would emerge as a result would be insane anyway. BS.
ReplyDeleteI hope this is the case. Facebook sucks cock
ReplyDeletemajor.mack - hahaha :D (but sometimes it's true... when I see this all KIDS on facebook :/)
ReplyDeleteI think it's impossible :/
Would he not just sell it for about a gizillion dollars?
ReplyDelete"And nothing of value was lost."
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lame rumor. Although I wouldn't be exactly sad if it were true.
